Webcast on Aimfree: Broker version
Abstract: Webcast addresses brokers or fitness centers and provides information on how the AIMFREE (Accessibility Instruments Measuring Fitness and Recreation Environments) instrument can be used to create barrier-free fitness facilities for individuals with a disability. AIMFREE is a set of sixteen simple survey instruments that integrates the U.S. Access Board’s guidelines with six other factors (the facilities equipment, information, programs, policies, professional behavior, and professional support and training) to help determine and improve the accessibility of fitness facilities and programs. Along with identifying barriers, AIMFREE can determine potential solutions, and offer technical assistance. Accompanying information packet is available under accession number O18906.
