Abstract: The objective of this study was to determine the perceptions of teachers of English in the community of Tomé, Chile, regarding students with disabilities. This descriptive, nonexperimental, and qualitative study used a semi-structured interview, validated for the study that allowed, both through inductive and deductive data analysis techniques, to determine the opinions about inclusion of students with disabilities in the regular classes of English in the commune of Tomé. Within the main results obtained, it must be mentioned that while there was a good attitude towards inclusion of this group in English lessons, most of the teachers interviewed do not know the specific curricular adequacies to be realized according to the special educative need present in the classroom. Most of them support each other through collaborative work with their respective school integration program; however, they have not received the undergraduate training regarding the topics or professional seminars needed to face the challenges of co-teaching which they will soon have to assume in the subject. This work manifests the need to reinforce training in terms of inclusive education, curricular adequacies, and special educative needs in the community of Tomé, as well as to realize the importance of undergraduate training about inclusion for future teachers of English.
