New surveys to measure and improve community participation by people with disabilities. A tool for independent living centers.

Abstract: Video describes three surveys developed by people with disabilities for people with disabilities in specific impairment groups that can be used as tools for independent living centers to monitor the progress of their programs and gather information to report to funding agencies. The Characteristics of the Respondent (CORE) survey gathers basics demographic information; the Participation of People with Impairments and Limitations (PARTS-G) covers participation and evaluation in 24 different activities; and the Survey of Participation and Receptivity (SPARC) assesses community participation at 19 types of community sites.
