Abstract: Presenter provides information on the University of Washington’s Driving Rehabilitation Program which aids individuals with disabilities through the process of getting back behind the wheel again and driving. The program evaluates an individual to determine their driving potential, what type of vehicle and equipment they are best suited for, and provides instructions and practice on the type of adaptive driving equipment they’ve chosen. Several individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) talk about possible funding options along with how they chose their vehicle, equipment, and modifications, while showing videos of themselves demonstrating the equipment and vehicles they use to be more independent.
