Abstract: This podcast presents information to educate individuals with or without a psychiatric disability about the importance of maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle. Podcast offers basic facts about what heart or cardiovascular disease is, steps to prevent and/or control factors that put individuals at risk for heart disease, advice on coping with the disease and setting goals to improve quality of life. Several suggestions for monitoring your health from the Center for Disease Control are also provided. Run time: 7 minutes.
